I will never understand people who buy beautiful automobiles and never drive them.

This has been me since August, on a battery tender lately. One of the bad things about having a 'fun car' is that it often has to get prioritized as a 'fun car' over the daily ones which have needed attention lately. Mine is still awaiting new heater hoses, under the flipping supercharger, that I'm still trying to find time to get after. I already have them on my workbench even. I've decided not to risk a lap around block weekly to protect the engine, though I did a few times at first. A fine line. Le sigh.

Maybe next weekend.

I'll agree with most people here. These cars are meant to be driven. I do store mine in the winter but I'll try to drive it a couple of times a week(average three to four thousand a year) when the weather breaks. We'll do frequent weekend trips with it. Even being stored, with only 90 miles there's things that will deteriorate after time. $90,000 is pretty steep.

Another unbelievably low mileage XKR on ebay. I drive more miles than this in some months!

I've already got two XKRs and my 2002 is the same color, and I'm still interested. I'm addicted, I need a 12 step program.

I'm wondering if the market has really gone up since this post in 2013. $21k is high, but not $10k high for a low mileage XKR; $10k high for an XK8 probably though.

I don't think $21k is unreasonable for an XKR with that few miles on it. I paid $19k for my 2002 XKR 3.5 years ago and still think I got a good deal.

I don't think it's unreasonable, I just think it's a high price for an early xkr, but not an unfair price for how excellent the car is!

If you paid that for a mint 02 you did ok. A lot of the cheaper cars have miles and flaws; miles you can't take off, and flaws that sometimes even diy aren't coat effective to fix compared to buying a minter at 19k or 21k.

I paid 10.5k for my 2000 XKR Convertible with 68k in January 2011. I did some repairs, new tires, tensioners preventative, repainted a fender and the wheels, eventually did fuel pumps, rebuilt front suspension, etc. It's really nice now, but if you paid out all I've done, you'd have probably spent 7k or more (did all but fender diy). A mint car would have needed less and probably less repairs over the same time than my car. I have maybe 2k in all those repairs and this car works for my circumstances.

Found my 2001 XKR last April with 24k on it. It was pure luck to find one with such low miles in Maine so I was even able to avoid any type of shipping. I paid what was book value at the time. It was one of 9 vehicles that the couple had. Guess it's tough to put many miles on if you spread it over 9 cars. I've since put 8k on it.

I believe I got a very good deal on my 2000 XKR coupe last fall. 26k miles $13k. Needed fuel pumps in short order and will need tensioners, water pump, thermostat and housing replacement. Would also like to go with a kenne bell twin screw setup soon from Avos.

This car gets a lot of attention and feeds my need for speed and handling. Have had it up to 145mph already. My supercar for 1/4 the money! I figure it will hold its value at least.
