Default manual antenna mast

Can I install a non power antenna mast on my XK8 and plug in the original radio cable ?

Bobe,

I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work. There are no "automatic" sensors regarding antenna position, it is a slave to the on/off cyle. Antenna connections are the same for manual an automatic. I believe it will work, just be sure the vehicle entry point is weather proof.

You should probably post the model year in your next post I have a 1998 perspective.

The antennae wire connection is not US standard you will need an adapter.
