Mina exhaust ground clearance
Hi Guys,
Took delivery of a 2003 XKR last night from out of state, and was surprised at the big downwards swoop of the Mina exhaust system. It looks to extend downwards an extra 5 or 6 inches at about the same point as the wheels. Is this normal? They're even on both sides and aren't loose. Do you other Mina guys installs look like this, and do you ever have any problems with ground contact?
TIA.

There are two ways to install it, depending on how the center bracket is mounted.
Mina recommends the method where the pipes actually contact the frame stabilizers and sit higher. It sounds like you may have the center bracket mounted the other way, where the pipes swoop lower.
Can you send a picture of the underside?

I have the Mina exhaust installed on my car. I've never lowered my car because I have been worried about that myself. If your exhaust sits lower than mine, you should have it readjusted. I have never bottomed out on any speed bumps with this set up. (knock on wood)

Danster- Does the pipe touch the bar above where the arrow points? I cannot tell for sure from the photo.

This figure shows the correct location of the Mina exhaust center bracket ABOVE the rail behind the differential. This configuration will give you maximum clearance to the ground. If yours is below the rail, remove the two bolts (there are nuts on top of the rail not visible in the picture) and relocate it. You will also need to loosen all the muffler clamps to allow the pipes to rotate to the correct postion.
The pipes should also contact TIGHTLY against the frame stabilizers as shown below, to prevent vibrations. I used a short length of 3/4 heater hose as extra cushioning at the contact area to insure against vibration. Although that probably is not necessary, it can't hurt.
Sorry guys, this one is not coming out on video
