Default More Mental anguish

I was driving by the Jag dealer yesterday night, and saw something in the show room, through the windows. I went inside to check it out. It was an F Type S Convertible, with a manual trans and performance pack V8. I have got to get me one of those.

I will be looking through the nationwide search on Coparts insurance auctions, to see if there is a flood car, or if someone wadded one up somewhere. Talk about a project! I would have to sell one of my other Jags, which my wife would like....Probably the 07 X Type, and work on the other one, in the body and mechanic garage my daughter bought for me, because I used to sleep and work there, when I was around 13 until I escaped from home to go to college. Then I was disowned by my parents, because I didn't go to med school, and instead decided to work on cars.....MY BAD

I still have the money from the Porsche sale, that I was going to use to pay my wife's car payments on her new Cherokee, a week before she found a job so between the X Type and that, it should put me in the ball park. If I don't find a flood car, I will be coughing up paint for a few weeks, before I surprise and upset my wife, when she sees another Jaguar Convertible in the garage.

Lucky I don't drive much in the winter. I wonder if I can get collector car insurance for such a new car? I would probably need to find a $500 jelly bean car(all look alike, except for different colors) to show Grundy I have a daily driver...Maybe I will just put it up on a rotating platform in the garage.....What a set of wheels......Mike

Which is why, when I drive by a Jaguar showroom, I force myself to look straight ahead. Car lust is a wonderful/terrible thing (see my list of past rides). Unfortunately, I'm not as handy as you are, and have excellent credit, so you can see how easily that car could end up in my garage while upping my debt limit.

Hope you find one that's both repairable and affordable.

By the time I can insure my 2000 XK8 in NC, like you it will set in the garage and I will look at it. The car must be 25 years old to get antique insurance here and I will be 85. Looking forward to the cheaper rate. LOL

Grundy insures my 99 XK8 for $14,000 agreed value,(they go up in $7000 increments) and as long as I send them pictures, and have another car to drive,(my X Type) they insure it for $264 a year, with unlimited mileage, so long as you aren't taking it to the store, or hauling lumber in it. I have driven it to S. Carolina twice. I drive it all summer long, in nice weather. I have been insuring all my collector cars with them for many years.....Good Luck.....Mike
