Default My 2010 XK *With Mods*

Hi Everyone,

I was down at my storage unit today to load some things in it. I Ended up pulling out the kitty and taking some pics with my new cell phone (the camera is actually decent). I figured some of you may want to see what I did to my 2010 XK.

Over the winter, I chipped away at some exterior mods. I honestly think they look awesome, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so I'll let everyone make their own judgement.

Car is ultimate black / charcoal & ivory and has about 1400 miles on it (8 months old).

List of mods are...
- 35% tints
- XK Exterior styling kit (front lips and sides)
- Chrome Side Vents
- 20" Portfolio Shadow Wheels
- Red Heritage Caps
- Lower R Grill
- Full Milltek Quad Exhaust w/ Sport Cats
- Nano bond and some damn expensive Swissvax wax.

I love this thing . Next on my list are some R brakes once a company offers some nice drilled or slotted roters for that size.

Eager to hear what you guys think!

Here's what you can see in the pics from this post...
1: R Lower Grill
2: Good shot of the side showing the exterior styling kit, tints, wheels, and chrome side vents.
3: Front left wheel and red caps. Also you can see the front lip here.
4: Nice shot of the chrome side.
5: Another side shot.

Default Before pics

Finally, I thought it would be cool to throw some pics in of the car when I bought it, to compare stock vs the mods.

I plan on taking some real pics with my friend who's a photographer hopefully this summer.

Enjoy
-Joey

Looks great. I love all the mods, although personally I wouldn't have done the chrome side vents, but to each their own.

Definitely like the rims, trim on the front air dam, and the exhaust... very nice! For some reason, I also get the 'too much' chrome look from the side vents. A little 'blingy'. What about keeping the side vent black, or even black chrome, and leave that horizontal badge in regular chrome? I think that would look pretty good. Heck, if you were going to do that, I'd also get the front brake duct trim also in black chrome...a dull, black shiny! Definitely would be a one-off. (here's my poor attempt at photoshop)

Thanks for sharing the pics, eye candy indeed!

Hrm, well... I have the black side ducts. So I could always take the chrome ones off and see how the black ones look. The thing is... I think the Jaguar looks better with the chrome. I live near NYC and lots of people that have black jags, they murder them out. Black grills, black sides, tints, black wheels, and I defiantly do not want to be one of those people (no offense to anyone here) it's just not my thing.

If I wanted a car that was cleaner looking, I probably would have gotten a DB9.

One day when I'm daring, I'll throw the black ones on and post pics and let you guys decide. And sound clips will defiantly come soon! The thing sounds unbelievable. In fact, I went on a date and took the car. Everytime I went over 3k the exhaust opens up, she would stop talking and giggle. I don't think she realized she was doing it which is the greatest part. She also had to throw something out the window and asked "Did you just wash this car? I don't want to get streaks on your window." I was floored. How many times has some stupid person gotten into your car just after you washed it and said to themselves, "hey I think it's a good idea to open every window you have at 75mph on the highway."

lmfao

nice story, that happened to me in an inlaws turbo 911 with a b and b exhaust. but the revs were more around 6-7k rpm. speed, well a tad more than the limit.

Throw stuff out the window? Not real cool for a Jag. (Actually, my wife has been known to chuck the occasional beer can out of the car on long drives along the shore-better than being caught with it). Drives me crazy but hey, I love her anyway. She just gets in a good mood whenever we go for a top-down cruise.

Hey, it's YOUR car, so make it into what YOU want it to be. Everyone has an idea of what looks best, but your opinion is the one that counts.
Enjoy!

Alright let me clarify.

She had to throw a piece of her hair out the window. It was not garbage or anything.
