My Bluetooth Setup

My Bluetooth Setup
I wanted to have a simple and reliable setup for voice, and one that could work with audio books and music. This is how I did it and I am very pleased with the results. All products used are linked in the instructions.
1. I spliced in an aux to the tape deck (this thread) for high quality music.
2. I purchased a small Bluetooth device, there are a lot out there, this is the one I got. 3. I purchased a power outlet that can be spliced into the fuses, be careful to use a fuse that goes on and off with the ignition so you do not get a power drain. ( )
4. I purchased a small USB powered Amp, much cheaper than I thought ( )
5. I got some speaker units that fit like a glove, the quality is much better than I was hoping. (Parts-express)
6. I cut the speakers into the trim piece (forget what it is called)
7. Hid all the wires, very easy to do
With this set up I have a reliable setup for calls and when I want music I power it through the car system. If you just use the car system then when you don't have the tape deck in you cant use if for calls. Also, for the dummy tape I ended up taking apart the cheap on that I got, (Ebay) took out one of the gears that I did not need and cut off the cord since I was using it as a dummy and that extra gear was noisy, I also greased it up so it is now silent.
8. Mounted the amp under the dash so I can reach the volume controller if I want to.
9. I may also hide the Bluetooth device, not sure yet.
