Default Mystery Cam scoring

Hello folks
Recently changed the seals on the cam covers but noticed these scores on the cam shafts. see pics. Obvisious conclusion is that they have been rubbing on something but as I don't know much about engines, my intuition says this doesn't make sense, the actual shaft wouldn't touch anything but only the lobes. Any input on this would be appreciated. cheers

Those are grinding marks from the manufacturing process used to remove excess pieces of casting and to balance the cam. Nothing to worry about.

Congratulations on keeping the engine nice and clean!
