Duh! Of course, thank you very much. I took out the DVD and it looks perfect. I removed it and reinserted it and it played. No sure what is going on.
I had the Jaguar on screen and wanted the clock, so someone sent me tge disc for the clock and 1 time I got an error message like that. Reinserting it didn't help but overnight it cleared. These cars sure have a ton of quirky things about them. Never had a car like that.
You're lucky - on my original sat nav southern Europe wasn't even included on the disc, so all I had was an outline of the country and nothing else. I replaced it with a Garmin DriveSmart 55 plus wireless back up camera. The screen size is a close replacement for the original, albeit a little smaller and gives me a modern touch screen sat nav with quite a few extras compared to the original sat nav, whilst looking almost exactly OEM. For me its the perfect combination of latest tech, while keeping the OEM look.
Hi Dibbet. I just got a 2005 XKR and want to make this same modification to my car. Car you describe better how you mounted it behind the faceplate so it sits flush and solid, and wired it up (so it comes on/off with the ignition?). I notice the stock jag navigation buttons to the sides are lit up - are they non-functional or did you connect them somehow too?
Thanks fpor any help.
I've emailed the company (Home) a couple times with no response. Are they still in business (website is active)? Has anyone who speaks German tried to call their phone number?
Try burning the system disc image to a CD rather than a DVD; the car's reader may be happier with that.
Apologies if I'm teaching grandma to suck eggs, but make sure that you burn as an image (I'm assuming that the file you have has a .iso extension)
Different system and vehicle, but I managed to update the system in our X5 from a CD I made. Had little luck with burning a nav data disk, sadly. The older readers are more fussy about the media.
HTH,
Mike
I got original "JTP824 Navigation System Disk" and I can verify. It is CD and Navigator reads it. Copied (needs to use IMG and CUE files) CD didnt work for me, but there was issues with battery condition. Anyhow JTP824 image can soon be fround from archive.org
Try Matt's link again...it seems to be working.
...I hope someone has a copy of the wipe disk, but as far as I know, you may need to visit a dealer to get access to one.
When you find a disc be mindful of the alternate loading procedures that the seller should provide. When I did mine (long ago) I had to pull one or two circuit breakers (and maybe some other steps) to get the disc to download properly.
Wouldn't you mind to share info what year model is your X100 and which were circuit brakers, and which document described the process - please?

Do you happen to have your original disk still somewhere?
