I had the Jaguar on screen and wanted the clock, so someone sent me tge disc for the clock and 1 time I got an error message like that. Reinserting it didn't help but overnight it cleared. These cars sure have a ton of quirky things about them. Never had a car like that.

Very curious. When I start the car the leaping jaguar logo comes on as it reads "please wait" The in goes to:
Error reading DVD_ROM DISC
Please check the disc
After driving for five minutes or some it the insturcts me to press enter and it works perfectly.
Another mystery of the cat?
Thank you
Rich

You're lucky - on my original sat nav southern Europe wasn't even included on the disc, so all I had was an outline of the country and nothing else. I replaced it with a Garmin DriveSmart 55 plus wireless back up camera. The screen size is a close replacement for the original, albeit a little smaller and gives me a modern touch screen sat nav with quite a few extras compared to the original sat nav, whilst looking almost exactly OEM. For me its the perfect combination of latest tech, while keeping the OEM look.
Thanks fpor any help.

Here's a video of USA car update from Leaper Logo to Analog Clock version.
ISO files, DVD / Disk Photos and Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) provided too.

VERIFIED
Try burning the system disc image to a CD rather than a DVD; the car's reader may be happier with that.
Apologies if I'm teaching grandma to suck eggs, but make sure that you burn as an image (I'm assuming that the file you have has a .iso extension)
Different system and vehicle, but I managed to update the system in our X5 from a CD I made. Had little luck with burning a nav data disk, sadly. The older readers are more fussy about the media.
HTH,
Mike

Wouldn't you mind to share info what year model is your X100 and which were circuit brakers, and which document described the process - please?
