I'm having problems with the file host, Dropbox. I only have 3 Gb of space and the iso image is 3.91 Gb. I uploaded the file last night and Map00XKR was able to download it before Dropbox deleted the file. I get another 250 Mb of space for each person who signs up, so, if we can then get 4 more people to sign up, I'll have enough space.
Alternatively, if someone knows of another place to host the file, I'll gladly upload it anywhere. I have already tried Skydrive but the file size it too large.

I've been stashing large files on our company's FTP server, I'm only one of two people that knows how to use it. Mark, I can get a folder setup specifically for you if you want a spot to place it. Dropbox became a malware threat for my work computer, so I removed it. Send me a pm if you like.

Thanks for going to the effort of making this available.
I downloaded it late last night, must have been just ahead of dropbox deleting it.
Burned the ISO file to a DVD using PowerIso and it worked perfectly on my 2001 xjr. It did include some missing roads in my area but still will not let you enter an address unless vehicle is stopped.
So, yes it is nice to have a somewhat newer version of the maps. The navi itself is still absurdely obsolete and even if it had 2012 maps, would pale in comparison to a $100 Garmin. I am thankful that mark made this available and am even more thankful that I did not spend a lot of money to buy updated maps for this dinosaur of a gps.

Are you guys using single layer or dual layer dvds? I am having no luck with Imgburn and at various write speeds on single layer dvd's. My problem may be a bit different...... I actually got a copy that was posted a month or so ago that was in the wrong format. Well I converted the format to .iso and got the "warning update in progress" then a progress bar. Then I got update failed. After that happened the "NAVI VOLUME" setting under the menu was gone. The disc trys to update every time you turn on the car but always fails. I took it out after a few tries. The new .iso has been burned at variou rates and I get nothing. What do you think? try a hard reset of the car , removing battery. I don't know the radio code if I need to enter it after the reset. Is there a Nav diagnostic or rest code on the radio. Tried holding down various buttons that people posted about elsewhere and nothing. Never had the original disc, bought used xj few months ago but bet the dvd drive works as it tried to update and knew if a dvd is in the drive or not. Also now pressing nav doesn't say "no dvd" anymore. Any thoughts?

I am going to try a dvd wake up disc that another member is providing to me. Will take it a week or so to show up. I will post again if the disc helps. Also will try the hard reset if the disc doesn't work and will report back. Thanks for providing the dvd update! Think that I just had bad media or something the issue is isolated to my car only.

I ended up using a single layer disc and ImgBurn on my computer with the slowest burn speed (4x in my case) and got it on my first try. I used a Memorex DVD+R disc. Since the file wasn't over 4.7 Gb I guess single layer works fine and dual layer is only needed so you don't have to swap discs on the bigger maps.
