Great news from you. Thanks for your input , really means a lot for everybody. @jazzyjags , yes you can help for sure. There is still missing the information about the cooling ducts. Length of them - 3 dimensions are needed . ( up to the bent length, from the bent to the tip and the 3rd- anything to determine the angle , either the angle value, or the distance to it normal vector- Pythagorean triple )
@avos Great that you are available for testing , this phase is the design , and the final one is the functional Item. Luca (Deuce2000) told me you are a very technical person, so I will need your testing feedback relying on this recommendation
So for now, either of you have the dimensions for the coolant metal tubes, in 1-2days , part will be shipped to you Avos.
Please create your account (registration) on sechtor.com and once you complete your the Shipping Adress -be aware the phone number is very needed.
- then you can inform them by Skype chat to gain time with the dispatch., or you use contact form, from the same reason - urge the dispatch.
The product has been enabled for preorders, only Paypal is accepted because of full refund policy . Just bare in mind, the lot manufacturing is at once, so for all the people who will not join at this time, it will be needed again - the group formation for next order.
DO NOT ORDER WITHOUT ACCOUNT , register first. You can do it, but for better visibility to item development is highly recommended to be registered customer.
Stay tuned, the FEA analysis - not for the ones as regular parts can hold anyways, but for maximum pressure you can inject (for the ones you want to go nuts ) , and installation manual will come very soon.
How much do you think shipping will be to the USA?
I had no clue, but I just simply tested on the website with US destination as being an buyer , and is 65 eur via UPS standard shipping service.
I remember I tried in the past to ship to a friend via FEdex and was almost double. Though, is needed some other people here to share their experience of buying outside US , how they have been charged by customs bureau in US?

I ship to Europe occasionally as part of my job and I use UPS (it does cost less than FedEx). They do give us a hard time with getting through customs though.
A member from our forums just sent me something from UK to Florida, USA through Parcel Force. He was selling an item local, but charged me an extra 30e to ship to me. So I cant imagine it would be much more than that to ship a small box through them. It was actually vey fast shipping as well. Maybe an option?

I think I still have a spare TB in my garage. I will try to get these specs for you
Although I can help, I can't do it under time pressure as I just don't have enough time and only a little in the weekends the coming period.
Nevertheless I can and am still willing to help out, just let me know and I proceed..
Alright Avos, so time pressure I also don't like , but is just important to keep it up.
The proto part is ready for fitment test , just needs to be sent to you, so if there is no contact from you, the shipment can't be done.
@Roverboy94 - Since you are one of the people asked for manufacturing this part , can you please help us getting the coolant duct sizes? JazzyJag tried but can't find the original part anymore, and it is best to have 2 measurement version to compare. One will come from Avos, still pending. @Tijoe not sure if you joined in this round or manufacturing, but I miss your input, maybe you have some time and will to share with us the coolant duct sizes.
If you people from USA checked with customs bureau, the rest of the things are set in your pre-order . Just remember if the part is not pre-ordered with the minimal of 5 units, it will not go further . Hopefully you will drive this part rather than letting it be admired in pictures as dummy proto.
hi,
any of you know what kind of alternative TB we can buy used to take the missing parts for use in the new 83mm TB? (besides of course the TB of the Jaguar XKR 4.2 L)
accidentally stumbled upon this thread and would like to order this TB. Would you mind confirming for me if this would be full TB with all the necessary parts like shafts, butterflies etc.? As I understood many X350 owners requested for the part as well, so this will fit XJR no problem?
I have read a lot, but since some of you have way more experience, can you advise if there is readily available kits with 85mm MAF housing and inlet pipe or should I DIY it, specifically 85mm?
Anyone knows what is the exact measurement of oval part on inlet plenum (the one which connects to inlet pipe). I should use 4" silicone reducer or is there a better fitting one?

Hi Paul, actually nobody yet really made the step to pre-order except me, but hopefully will do . About the XJR, there was 1 request X308 XJR, and if you find pictures above, the part is more complex and completely different than the X100 and early X150 TB. Does your part looks like in the pictures posted by @Count Iblis ?

Thanks for your reply. I am looking for TB which fits x350 xjr, not x308. I suppose they are the same for xkr and xjr, but wanted to confirm with more knowledgeable people

I must have missed this request. What exactly are you looking for? (What is the "cooling Ducts" ) Is this the coolant warming lines or something to do with the air intake into the TB?
Yes, the coolant lines , actually yes you are right , sometimes they keep the motor warmer than itself can get, if cruising on chill revs on motorways.
But these 10mm diameter steel pipes have the role of cooling, keeping the actuator motor not getting too hot, and the bearings not to get dry loosing their grease due to high heat.
So yes please , if you can get a measure of them, please go for it.
Images below show dimensions. Interesting to note that Tubes are closer to 1/2" straight sections and 1.75" long after bend at the 35 degree bend. (Must be the Ford American units influence, because the English engineers would have used nice "even" metric values. )
Note in the second image that the upper line is "rotated" away around 6 degrees from the lower by to the angle and dimension shown. Probably to give more room for the hose clamps.
Great info TiJoe as always, glad you are back
I must go to work it in CAD and send files for tubes being made, then installed and shipped to Avos .
Just got from the guys in the platform, the video with uninstalling parts from your TB. Probably many of you know it ,but is good to be sent for any other person who you know is needing this part, and possibly willing to join this order queue. Also I find it good for the ones who just want to do maintenance services to their TB Btw- we are now 3 orders, 2 more to go for getting the casting started.
