I have a bored TB on my xkr. From my understanding you cant get them anymore. So with this as with mine you'd definitely need to enlarge the SC inlet piece. Also youd want as free a flowing inlet leading to your TB as well.

At this point I don't see this project going anywhere.
Looking for throttle porting service that can also enlarge the butterfly plate. Any suggestions ? I have an 08xkr

I will have to install my meth/water injector in this RR intake so have to find the original tap bit which will be a challenge for me as I spend more time looking for tools than using them.

Is this project dead yet? Or there is still a chance? I Remember, back it the day, when I ordered, it should have been delivered mid June... 2019

In all seriousness it has been 4 months since last update, we should be getting closer, right?

Hello all,
I have contacted sechtor to get more information and here is their reply:

------------------------------
The parts, including for your order are packed, for about 2 months. Cristian took some time off this project, since the development for this part was successfully ended. Anyhow, he had an eye on the deliveries, trying to find alternatives for shipping, last input from his side - in 16May- but there is not much to choose from on the former prices.

The initial carrier set was EMS for Europe continent countries inside or outside the EU. EMS has headquarters in your residence country, but is seems they have been suspended their services with Romania for unlimited period, the places where parcels are.

Since local authorities lifted part of the restrictions in 15May, we started to find alternatives, and we found some for EU countries. Because the project was 2months late without considering pandemic crisis, we decided to ship them anyways with all the extra cost on our side. Deliveries for Non EU countries will become in Friday this week 16.June.
------------------------------

So long story short, I expect to get it soon, but I did not received any confirmation that package has been posted or tracking number what so ever. Still, looking forward to it.

P.S. Anyone knows if we are getting new rubber/silicone joiner from TB to Intake pipe? Or outside diameter stays the same (strongly doubt) and there will be no need for it?

well, hopefully! whoever receives the TB, please update here, maybe with photos.
Since I activated this project (first with an English company and now with another Romanian) I have always hoped to get to the bottom of the project. At least I will be remembered positively for this on this forum!
but it seems that there are always difficulties .... let's resist!

I was just thinking about the same thing. Not sure if we will need a new /different tb to plenum gasket?? And intake tube to tb rubber connector? I was going to start to try and source some now, but I'll wait till the tb comes in and get accurate measurements before buying those.

I have also been following up, I don't believe it should be long before they send to us. I heard the same thing, there have been a few constraints, but they are looking for a practical shipper.

Luca, I will call this the "Luca tb“ whenever I refer to it now. Hopefully it works when it arrives and you are remembered for a good thing!

I also hope it works perfectly. I only activated the project looking for who could do it. But remember that I don't build the TB!

Just an update to the crowd. I know there is not as much interest in this thread anymore as this project has been delayed a long time, but it is still something I am looking forward to. My Luca TB is on the way. Last i checked it was in route going through Germany headed towards the US. I went ahead and sent my spare plenum and supercharger outlet duct to get ported and polished as well. I know there isn't a whole lot of meat on those to port out, but I figure if the TB is only increasing by 5mm, any little bits of increase in air flow through other parts would contribute as well.

We will know for sure though, I am doing my "before" or baseline dyno next Wednesday. I will make an unboxing video for the TB when it arrives and post it on my YouTube Channel. Then I plan to install the Luca TB along with the ported plenum and polished outlet. I will then do an "after" dyno to see how much improvement there is and can share impressions with the group if interested.

I can strongly advise to also use the RR intake, that one flows better and will complement the wider TB and intake. Of course in addition the Pro-M 92 MAF here, than you have the best possible flow towards the TB.

Here is a link with more info on the RR intke:

Thanks Avos! I have been running the RR upper intake for 3 years now. It is definitely larger than our stock ones and has the heat sinks on it. I would really be interested in the MAF. Do you know if they calibrate those to match our parameters? Or will I have to mess with my tune to get it to match up?

You can order it with the remark Tune for "Jaguar AJ34 4.2 engine".

PS The fins are more for noise suppression, remember the air going thru the intake is cooler then what's in the engine bay.

Hi guys,

I see a lot of activity here, It's been a while, I had some personal stuff to take care of, and I was not able to stay with you on the forum.
I was wondering Paul, if you had time to install the part on your car. I contacted the guys there, and they confirmed you received at the beginning of this month. (I actually involved a bit more, to be sure you get it right)
I got 2 pictures as well, of how the part is looking -the shipped version( had some minor tweaks ) like the lip of the bore for anti-slip on higher pressures.
I wonder..If you really want to see more parts like this, for upgrades or obsolete parts, .who of you is able, and willing to join to help finding metal casting services using lost wax - the one used for this size and quality- collapsed due to COV19 .This model up to wax is fine...but suppliers for casting ..not the casting itself, but their culture --and their work ethics.. ah. that was hard even before lock-down

I can't see how that intake would fit under an XKR's bonnet, not to mention over the top of our SC. Has anyone done this on our cars, or is this a sedan - only upgrade?

Not sure about the XKR, but I know that RR intake is a real tight squeeze in my XJR. I actually had to cut some of the plastic on the cowl around it if i remember correctly. I know some of the members have grinded down some of the fins at the end closer to the TB to make it fit. Shaving down a few more of the fins down might help it fit in the X100.

Unless your intake is the one that goes off to the side instead of over the supercharger... then I believe you are able to put a bigger tube with ease.

Avos, I reached out to PRO M for the 92 MAF. They have it and said they can set it up with the Jaguar AJ34 4.2S parameters but said that I would have to tune the car once I install it. Is this true? Do they not calibrate it to work with our stock injectors and the adjusted flow rates?

I had my ECU sent to UK to get tuned by Paramount like 2 years ago. It was a long and expensive process and not the best hp/$$$$. I would hesitate to send it back to them to tune it again to compensate for the larger MAF, especially since we cant run the car on the dyno and get live data to make adjustments off of.

Do you have any insight you could offer?
