New Billet Shift Plate

I have been trying to come up with a repair to the original shifter plate as it has an annoying crack with a reminder of its needed repair each time I shift into gear. No, crazy glue supplied a short term repair. Thanks to the fellow forum member from Miami, alas, a repair with bling to boot. Find my before and after shot. Thank you again Miami... Rich

Hi all. I did get the tip from fellow Jaguar forum member, HM1 dated 7.16.16. I purchased the item on E bay. item # 302022868416 for the 5 speed auto trans. Did the trick covering up the original cracked plate. Price was $ 65. 95. plus S&H. much less than a new shifter component. Good luck, Rich

Just a little note on installation. This is for my '99 XK8 - 5 speed shifter. I am not sure on other applications.I pre marked the top of the plasticplate however you need to drill the billet plate retaining holes from theunderside of the plate. From theunderside, I removed the large round slotted wheel . You will then see theobvious drill locations. I also chose not to un plug any switches, very do-able.Rich

this thread is 8 years old. The OP said he bought it from eBay.
I doubt the seller is still making them, but you can do a search on eBay and find out.
always check the dates of a topic to see how old it is before bothering to revive it, often it’s better just to start a new conversation that will get you current, not dated, info.

The seller on ebay is solar_signa. I don't see any listed on his ebay page. You could always write to him to inquire about if he's willing to make more. I have one and absolutely love it.
Another option is to get a machinist to make one for you.
