New Front Seats (Recaro)
I need to havethe front seats in my '02 XKR re-upholstered and was thinking that I might just try to upgrage to Recaro seats and have them upholstered to match. I can't find Jag Recaros anywhere, I can't even find out what model Recaro made for Jag. Does anyone know what model of Recaros either were fitted to Jags or which Recaro models would fit in an XK?
Conversely, has anyone seen a redone interior that was ugraded that looked great? Thanks in advance for any advise or help.

RE: New Front Seats (Recaro)
The seats in your XKR are already Recaros.
They should use bottom mount rails, so any bottom mount Recaro should bolt up to your current seat rails.
I've got a set of Recaro trophys I want to put in my XK8, but I can't find rails for them without buying oem parts.

RE: New Front Seats (Recaro)
Just recieveda response directly from RecaroUSA in part it says:
"RECARO Does not make an aftermarket bracket for your vehicle. It is possible our sister company Keiper may make the mounting hardware and some of the seat structure in your vehicle. "
Since I have just the standard XKR seats and not the Recaro upgraded seats, is it true any bottom mounted Recaro would fit as Yurikaze says? Anyone know for sure?

I'd suggest you try Coventry West or someone similar that sells used Jag parts. Coventry West buys wrecks and dissaembles them to sell the parts, as well as selling new parts.
They may even have a set of seats that came out of an XKR. Wouldn't hurt to check with them.

RE: Here you go...
Thanks for the link! It goes to World Upholstery & Trim.
FYI for others:
I gave them a call and they have a number of options for all models. I asked for a quote on the front seat kit they sell, which is for both front seats. They quoted $2208. This is for leather and stitched identical to factory. However, they were specific in saying thattheseare NOT Connelly Hides as they discontinued production in 2002 and all Connelly stock is sold out. They suggested having a professional install the kit as the previous leather must be removed prior to installation of the kit.
I'm going to try a local upholstery shop and see what they would charge for installation and for a competative quote on recovering. I'll keep you all posted.
Thanks for the tips!
