Thinking about taking to the Pinehurst Concours show with my Jaguar club. Possibly even put a subtle for sale sign in it.
Really been reminiscing about my very first car, TR6 and would love to find a project car to play with. Really take it to a new level.
And a bit smaller, less complicated engine. I'd love to make the interior totally modern and luxury, paint it a deep metallic navy, maybe a Burburry interior. Much easier to find plaid.
Just a thought.

I'm sure whatever you decide to do Phil, it will turn out spectacularly. The TR6 would lend itself well to your kind of vision as it was once described as the quintessential British sports car.

Phil,

My friend Wayne (cjd777) has a beautiful 1970 TR6 as well as a stunningly magnificent 1949 Triumph Roadster convertible. He is on our XK8 forum because he also has a 2000 XK8, but Triumphs are his true love and have been for probably 50 years. He is currently building a custom combination Spitfire / GT6 (we call it the Spit6) out of six different Triumph donor cars at his home shop in Spencer, NC (right next door to Salisbury, NC). Send him a PM and tell him I suggested that you contact him. Wayne knows Triumph folks all over the country and can help you find (or build) any Triumph you are looking for....

Had it in a car show a while back and have several people wanting to buy it. Seriously considering.
One gentleman is very persistent! Bought himself a new F-type, wife was NOT happy! They saw my XK8 at show and she literally kept coming back to look at it! Was carrying a LV bag herself. Aparently she's determined to get my car!!!
More pics of the seats please .........

Phil,

I have to say that although I might not have the same style as you, I have to respect that you do things beautifully and cohesively. You get the little details all right, and the car is executed to a very high standard. That's always cool and the threads are a cool and fun read.

I'm also super partial to darker metallic browns, my Corvette had a medium to dark metallic brown that I really loved.

That was the idea of the car that I saw a while back. Similar setup minus the LV theme. It seemed, in my foggy recollection, that whatever he did with the back of the seat allowed more room. Is there something under the vinyl/leather bolster that runs the width of the car that looks to be 2"-3" wide. :-) Straps, chrome strips, all very nice. Tom

Tom,

I knew you would come up with something good or get something going that would look good as a replacement of the Rear Seats......The Guy with the Convertible has a good idea but it's a little over the "top" with all that fancy LV Luggage stuff.....Not to say that it isn't nice but just over the "Top"! I'm still looking for something else but don't know what it is yet!

Someone mentioned the Rear Seat changes that others have done to Triumph TR-4's & 6's and Austin-Healey's with their useless Back-seats. It seems to be a "British thing" to have a useless Backseat in your Sports Car! What have those "Lads" done over there? Has anyone seen any good Ideas?

I was thinking, which is dangerous! that maybe something like the luggage tracks along the bottom and maybe some sort of Speaker system on the back part....Have any ideas?
Of course the Coupe already has a shelf-area with Speaker & the 3rd Stop light that covers the Boot (Storage - Trunk) Area under it.

This sort of modification is not my thing at all, but yours looks soooo different that it works!

My wife happened to see a photo on the computer screen and agrees wholeheartedly with me.
