New tires

About 6-8 months ago, I had to buy new tires for my 2002 XKR, and I bought a staggered set of tires (OEM sizes) from Hercules (I think the model is called Raptis). It is a Z rated tire, and while not the best traction tire I've ever had, is quiet and wearing quite well (I do a lot of driving). I am more than satisfied, and certainly happier than anytime I have had Pirelli tires on any of my cars. These tires cost me $150 a piece, including balancing and installation. I'm not sure they're available nationwide, but it's certainly worth looking into if you want a reliable, inexpensive tire. I bought them through the indy mechanic who works on all of my cars.

New tires make it like driving a new car. Most of us wait too long to replace tires and get road noise etc. Don't know about the wear, but the UTOG is 360,AA A. Better than alot of the 230-240 UTOG. So far very quiet on the highway at 70-80 mph. Speed rated 100W, which I think is above Z. These were staggered size F(245) to R(255). All Season.
