Sweet ride. I have had my '05 XKR for about 15 months and about 13K miles. I agree that most of the problems had been worked out by the 2005 model year. I have had a couple very small things like the headrest cables, (which you don't have). These cars love to be driven . Don't be afraid to run the crap out of it, mine feels like it was built to "take it".
The sound of the Super charger is music to my ears.

 

Congrats on the car! That color combo is one of the sweetest looking you can get imho. My 2005 XKR also now has just turned 27,000 miles and last year I bought a 4 year mechanical breakdown policy for about $1,500 through my wife's credit union (I opted for the platinum version which pretty much covers everything). This will be the third time I have had the exact same policy and it has worked very well without much hassle. I would never go $5K for an extended warranty but spending $1,500 to $2,000 on one of the aftermarket mechanical breakdown seems to make sense.
