So X100 prices are already higher than X150 prices over there?

But all of the above is not hard to change at all and wouldn't even take so much money. But a X150 will never look or have the presence of a X100.

No the prices do differ. The 2005 - 2006 X100Rs in great shape with low mileage are close to $20k US Dollars. The 2007 - 2009 XKRs with low mileage can be had in the upper $20k US Dollars. Give it a few more years and the X150s will bottom out.

X100's are less so for guys that don't have tools and have to pay another guy to fix every little thing that will go wrong.
Ungn, your post has inspired me to start a discussion. Since I don't want to hijack this thread, I started a new thread here: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...9/#post1858630

Hope to see you there too, as you seem to have a lot of experience with these cars.

You can get triple gauges instead of Nav and do a RealGuage mod and now there are guages :-)

Oh ok. Thanks.

So it was referencing the facelift cars. I didn't know the sat nav showed the missing gauges virtually. I also much prefer the 3 real gauges of the earlier cars. Especially that now the nav is really outdated and and the screen really small.

Sorry, to clarify, the NAV does not display anything except NAV. I was saying that the Triple Gauge Cluster can be retrofit into an X100. Add the RealGauge Mod and you have a nice gauge setup.

The X150 only has warning messages that appear in the Cluster Display if there is an issue.

Hope that makes sense.

OK, thanks for clarifying.

What year did it change from the 3 gauges to nav? 2001 or only the 2005-2006 facelift cars have the nav?

Earlier cars got Nav, but what dsd was saying is the Triple gages aren't REALLY gages. The Temp gage, for instance doesn't tell you the temp, it just says the "the temp is good" by pointing at the midpoint of the gage if the car is warmed up. 175 Degrees? 215 degrees? Sure. Temp is good.

By the time the gage shows "the temp is high", it is too high to do anything about but shut the car off.

It is a idiot light with a needle. Some people don't mind this (I don't because I have a bluetooth OBDII dongle and have temps on my phone app if I need them). A vendor on here sells a do it your self mod that changes these gages into REAL gages.

I'm confused now. Are we talking about these gauges:

And I thought only later cars had the nav and that the nav replaced the 3 gauges under the center air vents:

Nav was an option, like heated seats. The gages were std.

The Oil pressure gage is in Whats?

The Temp gages doesn't really read temperature. It just points up like that if things are normal and if steam is coming out of the hood, it points over to hot. Thanks, gage.

The Volt meter acts similarly. My car read 9 volts and it was still running - barely, but the actual battery voltage was around 11.6.

The Clock works fine.

Most cars past 2000 with "oil gauges" did not really have operating gauges ...just idiot lights with pointers. Mazda MX5- Miatas are "sports cars" but in the post 2000 models the oil gauge is the same as the Jags...I had one There were kits to make them work properly as well.

OK. Now I finally understand. Thanks.

So this RealGauge Mod makes the 3 gauges into real functioning gauges?

For the sat nav, so since the first X100, you could always choose to have that screen instead of the 3 gauges?

I think the sat nav was offered as on option around 1999-2000
