Newbie Needs Help Finding Parts (Warped pulley on Right Quarter Window Assembly)
Good day All,
I'm a newbie here and have not been logged on in a long time.
I have a 1999 XK8. After being parked for a long time, a plastic pulley within the passenger side quarter window has become warped and thrown the cable, when opening the top. It looks like I need a new regulator or maybe regulator/motor assembly. The thing is, local dealership says they dont make them anymore. I can find quite a few left side quarter window assemblies on ebay. Where can I find a good used one, is there a jag parts place near me (Louisville, KY) or online, Or a way to have my existing regulator repaired, it has a warped pulley.

Thanks Michaelh,
I actually found that similar repair kit on ebay for $25 here. I am going to work on it this weekend. As it turns out, my pulley may not be warped. it may just have a tiny bit of wobble to it, I was able to test another assembly and I see that it had a tiny bit of wobble on the top plastic pulley. Now leaving the window up for two or three years may have caused the wire cable to take shape and jump the pulley, but its crimped and twisted now so I cant be sure. I have also found a video on YouTube showing how to install the rear quarter window repair kit.
Thanks again for the great post.
