I have a 2001 jaguar xk8 and I'm pretty familiar with it, just bought a 2001 XKR thats not running theres no spark at any plugs when it cranks over, besides the ecm is there anything else I should look at before getting a new ECM ?

and help would be greatly appreciated

 

Fuses, relays, inertia switch, anti-theft, wiring. Probably not the PCM (aka ECM) so hunt everywhere else.

 

I would check the CPS, no spark on any cylinder normally points to that if it's not the above.

I'd look at the Diagnostics Port and connect a scantool to it before either guessing or spending.
