Once it has charged, hook it up, leave trunk open for 15 minute. Measure voltage across the terminals and report the reading to two decimal points. Also, the brand and model of battery.

Default Battery test

Before charging; 12.40v. After charging 12.40v. At idle 12.60v. battery info;Autocraft Gold, part # 49H8 ,cranking amps 950, cold cranking amps 760, reserve cap. 160. Dated 5/11. I'm not seeing anything that would point to the battery. i'll be driving it every day for this week, and as I previously said it will start in neutral when it does this. Your thoughts? Thanks.

I would always start in “P” and when It does not start then try it in “N”. The theory is if it does not in “P” and it does in “N” then you should look at the adjustment then replacement..
