Default Not happy with Alpine stereo in 2002 XK8
Hi. I had a 1998 XK8 with the Harmon Kardon system and was quite happy with it. My current 2002 XK8 has the Alpine system and it sounds muddy and weak. Is this common, and if so is there a way to upgrade the sound easily without replacing the head unit?

I don't have Nav (not sure it was offered in the 2002).

I have a 2002 also with the Alpine system and have thought it was not very good since I got it. CD sounds OK - FM is terrible! Any suggestions? DaleD

...and I thought it was me! My 02' stereo is fine with CD...but the radio reception is awful!

Anybody with a fix?

I got nothin, the FM sensitivity is a characteristic of the deck, so even a 'new' 10' aerial won't solve the problem.

Not sure what to tell you.
