O2 Connector Source A/M
Working in area of Rt. Rear Cat. (engine) replacing the 3", 3/4" hose installed by PO. Used silicone Spec J20 hose rather than regular heater hose. Needed to disconnect both the upstream and downstream O2 connectors for easier access. The upstream (gray) came loose begrudgingly, but the downstream (black) failed to separate w/o force, Broke the rear portion of connector. (Portion of harness from Main Loom to the O2 sensor pigtail). Had to secure it with a mixture of hot melt glue and them self amalgamating tape. Began a search and located Ballenger Motor Sports site. The connectors appear to be a type called Sumitomo type used on Toyota & Honda also. Ordered this connector with wires & terminals for $14. Tried it yesterday and the unit appeared to make a proper easy connection. They also have various & other sensor connectors. This maybe a source for difficult to locate sensor plugs on our cars. They responded back to my question about various connectors very quickly and order was promptly shipped. No relationship to this supplier but a satisfied customer.

UPDATE I was finally successful in removing the installed terminals. One needs a sharp pick tool or a dedicated tool one which I used. There is a small tang at base of the terminal inside of connector that must be pushed back from the terminal base. The tang is part of connector and holds the wire terminal tight. Once the tang snaps back, the terminal will slide out the rear of connector. The 02 connector has 4 terminals. Took me about a week of patient and careful probing.
