I have a 97' XK8 and it was running great when i got it but all of a sudden it started running rough so i changed out the spark plugs, but nothing changed.
It says check engine misfire in banks 7 and 8. So i swaped the coils around and it wasn't the coils. The OBD scanner says "P1000 Auxilary Emmissions Controls Manf Fuel and Air Metering."
Please i can fix it if i just knew what the problem was if any body could give me any kind of help i would much appreciate it
thanks.

As Matt says, you cannot use generic P code charts for P-1xxx. All P-1xxx codes are manufacturer specific for Jaguar, P-0xxx codes are industry standard and mean the same thing regardless of the car. P1000 is drive cycle not completed in jaguar vernacular.
If you have rough idling, look for an air leak past the MAFS (intake tube bellows leak is possible), or restricted PVC, or part load breather. All these could cause rough idling without setting a code...yet.
