JimC64, do you want to cordinate a group deal? I can do it and I'm interested getting these but I'm in the middle of several different mods right now (s/c upgrade, SuperCooler, Hoffel Quad Tail Lights, new hoses and engine bling from XKRacer, plus a couple more I'm trying to finish) and need to finish these before I take on anything else.

Mark

Spires makes coilovers for XK8/R with Blistein shocks. Can you find out what they do about CATS error signal?

I was lurking to see the price of these. I wasn't surprised. The shock unit in the rear of my motorcycle was very expensive so I expected these units to be very dear. If you are a weekend track guy, these could be very useful and worth the cost if you need a winning edge. I would not use them for the street but I am a cheapskate!

I agree with Deuce 2000, he's a wise guy!!!!!!!! Power is nothing without traction, this is the first rule in the professional Motorsport businnes!!!

For track driving I can agree without any doubts, but imho not so much for street driving. I mean it’s not that you don’t have any traction at all with extra power and even with the stock car you can’t take corners with full power (although with a clutch type LSD its doable and fun).

If you have a tired suspension, I can certainly recommend to get it back to at least stock levels, or even better (i.e. with the Ohlins, or stiffer stock shocks), but the car is just too heavy to become an agile racer. The extra power certainly makes acceleration much more effortless (and more exciting). But thats me, I preffer powerrrrrr ;-)
