OK to leave battery disconnected XK8?
#21
My winter car is a VW TDI; and I installed a zerostart coolant circulation heater and a CTEK float charger on the car. This way it starts like a dream no matter what; cold or a long time between use. How is this relevant?!? I have a neat little plug so its a super polished install, and on an infrequently used Jaguar, it would be neat:
For the Jaguar since you'd only need the one plug, they make a single plug model too:
Those links get me nothing; I am providing them to show the thing.
I have this in the fog light grille so I can plug in a drop cord and power both things (and theres an inline switch to turn off the coolant heater seasonally since why heat it in the summer lol); but you could put this in the floor of the XK8/R pointing downward and when you want to plug it in, just attach a drop cord. I'm not sure there isn't a plastic vent panel in the trunk somewhere (maybe I'm remembering my X308?) but you could drill and install this in the trunk floor.
