One headlight brighter than another 03 XKR

Hey Everyone,
Hope the weekend is going well and is relaxing! Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas why one headlight would be brighter than the other. I noticed that my headlights seemed somewhat dim the other day so I ordered some new lights. Installed them and I still have a much brighter passenger headlight when compared to the driver's side. I checked the battery and all looks good. Some background info, the PO of the car somehow got water into the drivers side headlight. When I bought the car I had to install a new ballast to fix it. In fact, I had that ballast fail in a serious rain storm down here when the street I was on flash flooded. No water got in the car but somehow a little did get into the headlight unit. Since then, there has been no issues but again, I noticed that the driver's side is much dimmer than the passenger side.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Corey

Doing more research I think you are right on with the ground. It is certainly something I need to look into. Do you know where you would locate the ground connection for the driver's side? Also, I am betting that part of the problem is dirt. You can see particles of sand that were deposited inside of the headlight from the PO's time. The headlight always fogs up to some degree in wet weather as well so it is not very well sealed.
