You can also verify if the I/C coolant pump is running by putting your finger on the pump while the ignition is in second position and the engine not running. The pump will run with the ignition on and you can either hear it or touch it to verify that it's operating. The pump is located below the air filter box and is about the size of a soda/beer can. You can see it standing on the drivers side looking under the air filter box with a flashlight.
