I finally figured out how to use the USB connection from my W10 laptop to my iphone. The W7 would not work at all. I downloaded pics, but they were all in HEIC format which cannot be used on this forum. So.....I found a neat app called "Pixillion". It converts the HEIC to JPEG. Worked great, but still had to save, resize, and then transfer top our forum. My pics are on the other thread about "....module hell..".

 

UPDATE: We now have the S.A.S. and hope to install soon. Researched and read 6+ threads regarding replacing the clock spring or steering wheel on the XK8. Each thread mentions that the upper 3 screws were #2 Phillips head and same as the 2 holding the lower cowl. Removed one of the lower screws from from lower cowl and noticed marking on the top of screw. The screw did not fit the #2 Phillips bit snugly, so we tried a #2 Pozi Drive (PZ#2) and it fit snugly and made removal and install easy and secure. The faint marks on the top of the screw was a indication it was Pozi Drive. Perhaps this is the reason people had difficulty when using a #2 Phillips. Now to locate a thin shaft Pozi Drive screw driver. Will need a 5 1/2" or 110mm PZ# #2 as minimum. Will update when this bit is obtained.

 

Never heard of a Pozi drive. Another set of tools to buy.

 

Introduced to Pozi Drive by MG. Many of their screw heads that appeared to be Phillips were actually Pozi Drive. Pozi is the actual term and their sizes are PZ1 thru PZ5. They are more secure drive than Phillips and even some Japanese cars used them. They were mostly used on European cars though. After trying the #2 Phillips, I got the PZ2 bit out and it fit snugly. I examined the head of the screw and discovered the faint markings that appeared to indicate Pozi Drive. Maybe I spelled it POSI, but actually it is POZI Drive. PZ2 appears to be most common, never used my PZ1. Hopefully can attach a link to show the markings. Google POZI and discover another tool to buy. One I located is on Amazon and is 5 1/2" long, electrician's tool with insulated shaft, $13 incl S&H.

NOTE: Will update this thread when I complete the replacement on the Steering Angle Sensor. This seems to be complete except for the configuration of the replacement ABS/DSC Module to my car. BTY, Have 2 Pozi drive PZ2 screwdrivers on the way. Will re-visit when the Code C 2202 is solved.
There will be a new thread regarding the replacement of the S.A.S.; hopefully with some photos since the S.A.S. is located behind the clock spring. Seems nothing is available about this sensor is available other than the JTIS procedure.

 

RESOLVED Completed the re-configuration this AM. Local Tech dropped by with his Autel (Maxisys- model unk?) programmer, worked about 20 minutes with various screens, then pronounced ALL IS WELL. The warning lights, messages were gone and appeared to to be like they were prior to the beginning (mid July-Mid Oct.) of this tedious episode. Solutions involved replacement of the DSC/ABS Module (LKQ 2004 XK8 Assembly), New OEM Steering Angle Sensor, cleaning front ABS sensor and new harness for right front sensor. Parts $390 + $150 Programing Charge = $540. My labor & Time CHEAP.
The Tech operates a commercial business involving programing electronics on all model cars in area shops when they cannot programs with their equipment. So relieved to arrive at this conclusion.
