Default part number for Sport mode button?

I made the mistake of trusting the carwash next to my office to clean the XK8 this morning...I walked over to pick it up at lunch only to discover that the sport mode button is no longer there.

The switch is in place but the cosmetic button with the "S" is gone. I am guessing their inattentive idiots sucked it up with the vacuum (after I had expressly told them not to get their vacuum anywhere near the wood, to include the center console).

So...what I need now is the part number itself so I can get the replacement ordered...I wasn't seeing it in the quick glance I made through the SNG Barratt online catalog and was hoping someone here had a quick reference and could provide it...

thnx...

I think the part number is : LNC 6220AA but personally, I would stand over the delinquent youth who was responsible for the vacuum cleaner with a loaded shotgun until he had rummaged around in the dust bag and retrieved the relevant switch. I am, of course, never guilty of gender discrimination so if it was a female youth, I would adopt exactly the same policy.

it was a male...but I am glad to see you are equal opportunity

I am going to guess someone is rummaging through there...if they were smart, they would have emptied the bag when I pointed out the problem around noon...at least then they only had four hours worth of crap to sift through. it was very clear to all in the area that I was not a happy camper on multiple levels, not the least of which was the fact that they damaged the vehicle and didn't have ***** enough to admit to it.

And thanks all for the prompt responses...allegedly the manager is going to order the part, but I expect pushback from them now that I have seen the price for just the button and figure they will get an even higher number since they insisted on calling the dealership on the north side.

Just to close this one out...

The button surfaced late in the afternoon...seems they had someone sift through all of the stuff in their vacuum canister. My guess is they made the phone call and discovered what the part costs over the counter and decided that someone spending three hours sifting at minimum wage was a better alternative.

Great News! seems that others place a new priority when they put dollar value to what appears to be a simple item. Kinda like a Hot Dog at a MLB or NFL game; just costs more. Appeared to them as a simple plastic cover, but once costs of replacement surfaced, became a major search & locate item. :-)
