Default Part Number For Xenon Headlights Ballast Needed!

I need the Ballast part number for my 03 XKR With Xenon Headlights. It has the oem Jaguar Xenon lights made by Valeo. Is it the same as 04 & 05 models?

Anglicomarine0326:

The Number of the Valeo Ballast is: LAD5G. .....This Ballast is for the Low Beam HID Bulb....and they cost something like $100.00.....a piece! .
The High Beam, which your Photo shows as (ON) is a Halogen Bulb that s set in a Reflector Type Light. That High Beam Bulb can be replaced with a short LED Bulb, The Light source on the LED should be the same distance from the Base of the Bulb as the Halogen Bulbs Light source. If you don't have the same distance here, the High Beam will scatter Sparks of Light all around the Beam Pattern. Check out "The Retrofit Store". They have a short Movie about this....

Be sure that you buy the replacement Bulbs of the HID's that have 6000 Color.....That is the Bright White Light you can get....the Wattage should be the highest you can find.

With the off-brand ballasts, you lose the auto-aim function. Ask me how I know.

Are you saying that unless I buy Valeo brand, the direct fit other brands won't work? Makes no sense.

internally it’s a 4 pin ballast (lad5gl). the other 8 pins functions are self leveling related and they are removed to make them cheaper. you can read the review from someone with a cayenne who lost their self level. if you really want self leveling you can buy old stock
