RE: passenger seat controls defect
USUALLY A MODULE WITH NO OPERATION AND POWER, BUT THEN YOU CAN ALWAYS TAKE OUT THE MODULE AND SWITCH PACK ON THE DRIVERS SEAT AND MOVE THEM OVER TO CHECK FOR WHAT IS THE PROBLEM. JUST DONT BREAK THE SWITCHPACK TAKING IT OUT, AND YES THE MODULE WILL OPERATE OK, BUT THE SWITCH PACK OPERATES REVERSE FUNCTIONS. BUT YOULL GET THE IDEA.

I had the same problem on my 06 xkr nothing was working on the drivers seat, I found that the connector from the seat to the car was unplugged, there was a white connectorunder the seat that came loose, refastened it and all was fine, check to see if everything is connected under the seat.[/align]

RE: passenger seat controls defect
As with any of the many 'modules' within the electrical system be sure to disconnect the battery cable before connecting or disconnecting the unit. The seat modules are a common failure item. If defective, they can usually be found on eBay or one of the several recycling yards web sites for $100 or less. The same unit for a Ford vehicle is about $20. If only we could find a conversion table.
There are a couple of threads on repairing the unit, both relays and connectors. Search this and other forums.
