Default picked up a new project over the weekend.

I had no real interest in buying a project car but I came across this and couldn't pass it up. Maybe I should have haha but I'm excited about it. It has 120k miles on it, the body is in pretty good shape other than needing a headlight and a hood, and a bit of rust on the windshield post. It is missing the transmission coolant lines but it came with a set. The trans is in limp mode, and, well the engine runs but makes a bit of a racket and seems to have a slight misfire so I'm worried the tensioners might have gone. I'm prepared for that to be the case and if so, I'm probably going to go with an LS1 swap, hopefully with a 6 speed if jaguar specialties finishes their kit soon. The good news is the top works just fine, no leaks or anything. All in all I think it was a good deal at 2500 bucks, even if the drivetrain is bad. I've always wanted an XK convertible but they are out of my price range typically. This will take funds away from my X type though ha. I'm just excited to have a v8 again!

Default Ls1

Looks like fun, I also plan on doing a LS1 swap into my 2001 XK8. In my mind best of both worlds. Chevy reliability with Jaguar good looks. Good luck.
