Default Plastic bolt covers?

In the engine compartment, there are 3 bolts that stick up that surround the top of the front shocks. There are black domed plastic covers on the bolts and every XK8 I've ever seen has had at least one missing.

Any idea what they are called and where I can find one?

Default Good luck

Couldn't get them through the dealer. I know Chris at Mina Gallery and he had a spare from one of their fitment cars so he sent it do me with one of my orders.

They are called a Damper Cover (see item 11):

There's 2 different sizes (later models are smaller) and 2 different types (Adaptive / Non Adaptive). Adaptive Damping patterns have an outlet for the wires.

Actually, the covers are the 3 small plastic covers that slip over the mounting studs that stick up through the fender sheet metal. They are not shown in the diagram. I needed one of them and the Jaguar Dealer had trouble finding them but finally did. The part # is KCP100006 Cap, Protective.

Talking

Here's an odd thought, but worth the endeavor (?) My XK8 was missing three of the little buggars, so, working where I do, I approached the machine shop, showed them one from my car and we promptly walked over to the garbage can (I knew about what they had, just didn't want to start rummaging with out them being aware I was there)
They gave me a handful of the small, rubber end caps that cover the ends of the clear plastic tube that they get their cutting bits shipped in.

SO, walk into your local machine shop and show them what you need, and see if they have any in their trash. They fit snug enough that you have to spin them and thread them on. They're a good quality domed, rubber cap...and free...
