Default Purge Valve Confusion

I have a fuel smell and I want to swap the purge valve on my 2003 XKR.

I am confused on the part number:
C2N3045 vs LJB1515bb

They both list valid for my car?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

As a follow up, I believe I have sorted the multiple Purge Valve questions.

It appears that the X100's pre assembly A30644 shipped with LJG1515AA. The TSB 303-63 upgrades the original Purge Valve to LJG1515BB which supports an additional breather hose.

It appears that assembly A30645-A40920 were shipped with the LJG1515BB but were subject to TSB-303-62am which upgrades the Purge Valve to C2N3045 (with a link lead) and they added an insulation pad (C2N3564). For these assembly numbers, conversion from old to new requires an ECM push from WDS.

That said, cars pre A30645 would take a variant of LJG1515 while A30645 and later should use the insulated, linked, C2N3045.

After inspecting mine, I learned that my car was converted per 303-62am, so I order the latest purge valve. The hose looked in terrible sharpe, so I took the time to order C2N1474, as well.

I hope this helps someone, as I sorted this after ordering the wrong parts before doing an inspection (another forum motto).

Best,
dsd

Thanks, dsd.

Convoluted or what? Reminds me of the quote by W.C. Sellar:

“The Scots (originally Irish, but by now Scotch) were at this time inhabiting Ireland, having driven the Irish (Picts) out of Scotland; while the Picts (originally Scots) were now Irish (living in brackets) and vice versa. It is essential to keep these distinctions clearly in mind (and verce visa).”
