Question on replacing instrument cluster
I have a fault with my current instrument cluster on my 2001 XKR. It puts up bogus alerts including "restricted engine performance" and "check rear lights". The engine is not in restricted performance though and the rear lights are fine. The car runs fine other than the warnings and lights on the panel. The panel itself is reporting a U1261 code on the scanner.
I have a spare used panel but I am not sure if I can just swap it out.
The label in the trunk with all the computer module numbers on it indicates my panel (IPK) is LJE 4300DB/107
The number on the spare panel is LJD4300KB/104
Can I just swap these? Also do I need to reprogram the car at all once I put the other panel in?

The 4.0 X100 (as well as the X308) does not have a VID block so it will not need configuration to the car.
The mileage will be permanent in the INSTPK from the original vehicle.
The mileage part of the ISTPK might be able to be removed and soldered in the replacement so it reads actual mileage to the car.
If BOTH are SUPERCHARGED and BOTH are similar mileage, then it should be 'plug&play'.

I don't know what the mileage on the new one is, but the car is over 20 years old and in my state (Alabama) the mileage is not reported on the title any more after 20 years. I'm not worried about it being wrong. I know I have 113k on my car now and if and when I sell it I will advertise and tell whoever buys it what the real mileage is.
