Default Questions for long time XKR owners

I just bought a 2002 XKR and I have a couple of questions:

1. I have an X-Type and the windows have one push down (you press the window down button and the window goes all the was down), which the XKR does but in the X-Type, you can do the same thing closing the window (one push up). Does the XKR have this up window feature? If so, how do you set it because mine does not appear to work that way.

2. Does the XKR have built-in cell phone microphones? If so, where are the located? The X-Type has this feature and I read that pre-wireing for cell phones was a standard feature on XKRs.

Thanks,

Mark

To the best of my knowledge the XKR does not have auto-up windows. Only down.
I think the built in phone was an option, so, not all of them have a built in microphone. I think they are, however, wired for one.
If I'm wrong, someone will chime in shortly and correct me. Good Luck

Unfortunately no auto up on the windows, unless you use the key in the door lock.

The connectors are present under the centre console for cellphone installation,no microphone fitted as it usually comes with the kit anyway.

I didn't think that any cars had one push auto-up as a safety precaution against fingers getting stuck. I guess I was wrong.

The microphone (where fitted) is on the headlining next to the overhead console. It's exactly the same as the one I have in my work Ford Transit van, lol.

Default Looking for cell phone connector

I can't locate any cell phone connectors on my 2002 XKR I recently purchased. I've looked all around the console and dash without success. It has the phone option buttons on dash and steering wheel. Thanks for any insight into this questions.

The connector is under the armrest; you have to take the 'tray' out by unscrewing the armrest lid and then removing the 'tray' underneath. The connector is there as an option for an in-car phone that resided in the armrest.

Thanks again. I would have never found it. I'll look under the tray and see what kind of connector it is.

The connector is only for the Jaguar specific kit. I bought a matching connector and wired it up to a Motorola T605 bluetooth kit. There is a great write up here that explains what you need to do to get bluetooth phone and music integration. Its for an X308, but its the exact same basics. Check the wiring colours for your car with the correct electrical guide for your model year.

Default Adapting car kit

Thanks for all the information on adapting T605 to my car. Found T605 complete kit on eBay for $35 so inexpensive investment if I can muster courage to try & wire it. All the wiring diagrams are scary to an accountant. Lol. Where did you get your connector to interface w Jag? I’ll look around for a more technically competent perpson to help me with this project . Thanks again for all your help.

please excuse my posting issues since this my first initiation.

I got the matching connector on ebay a SOT 065 - its for a Hyundai but its the same plug/socket on the Jaguar and then re-wired it. Yours maybe different, so check before buying.

A competent car audio technician should be able to install this for you using the information in the PDF.

Thanks for the connector detail. I'll check the one under my console and try to compare the two.
