Well it is leaking off a bolt tat goes into pump. Only did it on the pressure check when the motor was cold and seems to do it when motor is first started and is cold and then goes away at running temp. I know it needs looked at but it was fixed only 10k ago but that was two years ago so I will have to battle them to get them to fix it for a reasonable price since it is so few miles since fix. I am jsut tired ofthe car AGAIN. HA HA HA. This crap on the heals of my TRIPLE CROWN thread crap. HA HA

one note on this water pump. When they did the work on the timing chain bs one of the bolts broke off in the block for the water pump. They had it drilled out and a tapped with a new heliocoil? to allow a new bolt go in. Could that puppy be allowing fluid to get past it. I have checked all hoses around the leak area and all seems dry. Doesn't seem that the fluid is coming from above the bolt.

I have email from the forum containing a post from yesterday discussing a helicoil where the leaking bolt is located. That message is not on the forum today, but I would like to comment on it anyway.
The helicoil is almost certainly the source of the leak. The may have drilled into the water passage in the block when they installed it, and helicoils do not have a great record in that situation. The fact that you just smelled the leak recently does not mean that it wasn't there all along.
