Default Radiator Hoses for XK8 ?

Surprised I could not find anything with a search of the forum. Local Auto parts only has off brand (not Gates) upper radiator hose and nothing for the other hoses. Do I have to go to Jag dealer ?

look them up on EBAY, PARTSGEEK.com etc. They are out there at a MUCH lower cost then JAG dealer prices. I used the URO ones on mine, seemed to be good hoses.

Download the SNG Barrrett XK8 catalog: SNG Barratt - The Ultimate Jaguar Parts Specialist

You will find your part number. SNG is a good source with reasonable prices, but you can google the part number and find many other non-dealer sources. There are also online dealers such as JPAM Parts which sell at a discount off of Jaguar list price.

Found mine on RockAuto. I believe they are URO.

Been on about 18 months with no issues.

I have used URO's on mine. Check them over before you put them on. One of mine came with 2 cutting blade cuts that I did not see till AFTER I put it on. I finally just replaced it yesterday. I suspect mine was a one off bad part or when I opened the box I may have put them on it (prob what happened now that I think of it). Anyways, the hoses are nice, cut to size, good fit. GOOD PRICE
Amazes me that a hose made like ANY OTHER with no crazy molds needed to make it at that cost so much when the same freaking hose of the same material, BIGGER for my 74 Olds is 1/4 the cost. Jag name always gets ya.

I bought one uro hose and one hose from the dealer. I initially thought that uro was likely making the current oem replacement for Jaguar but the hoses were not the same. I had a similar experience with the uro hose, it had a nick in it out of the box and when pinched at the nick there was a hole that almost went through the hose, so i sent it back and got a replacement which looked fine. I thought it was a fluke but someone else having the same problem says you definitely need to inspect these uro hoses. The dealer hose seems more robust and it came with two new tension clamps so if the price is close I wold go with oem.

The OEM prices I saw were crazy. My cut in mine was not bad, you could pinch it and there was no hole or other material showing, I drive it that way for a year, checked it time to time but knew it needed changed so I got another, checked it over, all ok, and had it put on.

I got the upper hose #C2N1174 for the 4.2 liter from gaudin jaguar online for about 43.00 and it includes the two new constant tension clamps making it the better value but the shipping charges are high, so may not be worth it unless you are buying multiple items.
I got the lower hose from uro because that one was overpriced in oem
