Default radio controls

This may be absurd, but here goes: I have a 1997 XK8 Convertible. The screen on the radio is blank (I assume burned out in the sunlight - it's a soft top), but the radio works fine. I cannot figure out how to adjust the treble, bass, fader, etc (I have no manual, and there don't seem to be any knobs or buttons that control these functions).

I am not sure about a 97 but my 2005XK8 has a MODE button and each time this is pressed it goes through the options.

1 press is bass, 2 presses treble etc (not sure if this is the right sequence but you get the idea)

You adjust each option with the volume control knob but it would be pretty difficult to do without the screen

On my '97, first press is bass, second is treble, third is balance, fourth is fader. Once you have pressed the mode button the appropriate number of times, immediately turn the volume control to adjust the function. So, to increase bass, press the mode button once, then rotate the volume control to the right to increase, and to the left to decrease. If you are quick, you can press the mode button ONCE again to get to treble, make your adjustement, another quick press will get you to balance, etc.

Report back if you still need help.

Default Thanks

Wow. Thanks you guys. I really appreciate it. I suppose after all these years I should replace the radio....but you may just have saved me $1000.
