I want to addaSirius FM Modulator to my radio. I understand that I'll need two cables due to the antenna being a square connection. My question is how do I remove the radio so I can unplug the antenna and add the cables and hookup the modulator.
Do I remove the console?? I can't find the info in the JTIS and I don't belong to Alldata.
Thanks in advance.

You do remove the console greenjewel.
first step is to remove the black bezel around the gear shift. In order to do this, take a credit card and push in from the left and right, at 1:00, 5:00, 7:00 and 11:00, if the gearshift was a clock. Left and right, directly horizontal as the clips are vertical in orientation. Go slow, and do top or bottom half first. Disconnect the sport switch (and cruise if on yours)
Under that you'll see metal clips secured by 2 screws each that hold down the wood. Remove those and the wood comes right up.
you'll see two large torx low and under the radio. Remove. At the very back of your armrest, you'll see a vynil covered 'flap' of sorts that pops off from the top (nearest your armrest) and reveals two more torx screws. Remove.
console now slides back, up and out. Be careful of the cigarette lighter underneath. disconnect while 'up'.
now you can see all 6 of the radio / climate control screws. Go at those and it comes right out.

Thanks a lot for your step by step help. While on a trip along the coast I couldn't get any Sirius reception at all due to all of the FM Freqs. that the Sirius unit was transmittingwere all being used as FM stations so we couldn't listen to any Sirius station.
The modulator makes the Sirius unit into more or less a direct connect to the radio without static and it doesn't matter if the FM Freq. is being used by an FM station, you still here the Sirius stations loud and clear.
Again, thanks a lot! [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

You could also consider keeping your antennae in the retracted position while listening to your sat radio to cut down on the broadcast signal reception. There is a great writeup from another jag owner I could send you that has step by step instructions to install a switch in the antennae power line that looks just like stock and will take up a blank spot at your left knee next to the valet switch. Looks very professional, and you can do this while you've got the whole console apart anyhow. If you want the adobe document, send me a PM with your email and i'll get it to you. The author even gives you part numbers of the LED illuminated switch that fits like a glove!
