Raw fuel smell ?
Nice warm sunny day. Put the top down and drove our 2001 XK8. After a few minutes, I got an extremely strong Raw fuel smell. I Have been driving our Jag for months and never had this happen before. By the time I got it home and back into the garage, the smell was overwhelming. I checked the fuel tank area and it was clean and dry. I have found no fuel leaks anywhere. Any suggestions..... Ron

Ron- There are potentially 2 TSBs that may need to be addressed. See https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...s-smell-50466/.
There is also a small section of hose next to the evaporative canister (rectangular black box) under the car near the right rear wheel that cracks and leaks.
You should also check for OBDII codes for evaporative emissions system faults.
Does the smell seem to be coming more from a particular area? My money would be on the purge valve replacement described in one of the TSBs which is a fairly easy DIY for under $100. They all eveniually seem to go bad. Search for rev. Sam's video on this.
