This is Correct. Its exactly how I reinforced mine. The nuts make the bolt's length adjustable AND keeps it from leaning. Worked great for me ! However, it did take me a few times to get the stringing correct; its not that easy/obvious.
Remember, when you're giving it a try ~ Once you hit the 'top' up/down button, it'll run till it hits its end, so if re-strung wrong, I just disco'd the motor so it wouldn't kink again and tried over. When it comes un-wound, it won't stop... its not nice like that -![Icon Doh](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_doh.gif)
I was able to R/R my entire assembly without removing the top. Its NOT easy, but I did it.
Good Luck !

That 'bolt' is actually a long threaded nut and the green thing carries it thru the track...its connected to the window glass. Move it and move the window.
That white thing with the cable connects to it and drags it up down...its not very hi-tech; especially since its a Saab piece (they make it actually).
That long threaded nut goes thru the white box and there's a bolt that holds it on. It allows the white box to swivel as the window goes up/down.
Oh, ensure that white box is snapped together. It does come apart and holds the ends of the cable within.

It's amazing that neither JITS or the TSB on alldata covers restringing. It'll be interesting to see how this goes, if it works It'll potentially be a relatively quick fix for this pesky problem.
If not It'll be a $800 repair, or I might just go for manual rear quarter windows and unplug the fuse for the left side

I seem to having this problem with my rear side window. On my car the cable seems to still be working but sounds like it is ready to go and will only go half way down. I did get it in the up position so I can still close the car up. I was wondering how the restringing worked out. Jagosaurus, where you able to restring without having to remove the regulator? I Is this worth messing with or should I just bite the bullet and take it in. Any suggestions of a good shop in the Chicago area?
Thanks
Thanks
