Rear shock bush update

I finished the job last night around 11. I ended up buying a 30mm 12 point socket for the pusher. It's a little bigger than the 1 1/8" 6 point I had, which even with the dust boot removed it wouldn't fit against the outer sleeve of the bearing because of the dust boot flange.
The left side was driven out w/o removing the center portion and it went in much easier than the right side did. I couldn't get the right side centered in the shock eyelet by about a 1/4". I worked until nothing would move no matter how long I let the impact driver beat on it. Now that I think about it I could have used hand tools on it until something, socket or threaded rod, broke. Oh well, the shock doesn’t hit anything but I may do this next time I have the rear-end up in the air.
Well the clunking is gone now. It's sort of like driving an annoying coworker to work every day for 7 years to save money, but now his gone. I sort of miss the rambling chatter as I go over small bumps on the back streets and parking lots, but I'm sure I'll get use to it!
