Rear Strut Top Bushes

Mike, Jon89 and I replaced a knock in his 2005 XK8 and it turned out to be his shock.
A valve in the shock was loose and his was not the only one this has happen to.
Most rear shocks come with the new upper pads and it's a job the experts have said, drop the rear bolts off the crossover brace. Do a little research and add to your profile what year car we are talking about.

My upper shock bushing was bad and the Large washer on top of the shock would crash down on the top of the top hat (upper shock mount) on shock extension.
New Bilsteins come with new foam bushings, and that fixed the banging on my car.
There are some pictures on the rear shock foam in this thread. You can see there isn't much between the shock washer and the top of the shock mount.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the support. The vehicle is a 2003 XK8. Sorry haven't found out where to add the signature on my profile. I've been scrolling through YouTube for some videos. I don't think it's a drop rear axle job, but I believe it's still a bit tricky. Any links would be useful. Thanks for all your help.
