Rear Suspension component mounting prescribed area ...

Rear Suspension component mounting prescribed area ...
Hoping this isn't too silly a query for here.... My 2002 XKR failed it's mot with these two items.
∑ Nearside / Offside Rear Subframe mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength (5.3.6 (a) (i))
∑ Nearside / Offside Rear Suspension component mounting prescribed area excessively corroded significantly reducing structural strength outer sill (5.3.6 (a) (i))
The garage told me I would need 2 x Lower mounting brackets for the Coupe. (Convertible has differing design) RH rear MJA3700BA & LH rear MJA3701BA and until he gets the welding underway he won't be able to tell me what else would be needed. Now from these parts I get they relate to the first item above. What is confusing me is the second item as I can't see how that (Suspension) relates to the outer sill. As garage is on vacation this week, I'll try and ask the mot station to explain but thought I'd ask for any wisdom from the experts out there.
Many thanks in advance.
PS: Car has 62K and sound engine and outer body (with exception of rear lower quarter wings needing done for a 2nd time after just 5 years - Will get pre formed panels to go into cut out area this time! And the need for a new headliner now the weather is dry)

Common issues in UK cars. See these threads for the subframe mount:

RaceDiagnostics:

and two from the same authors re the rear sill rot. XKR-DAY's pics wil show you why the rear sill rot is relevant. What you see on the outside doesn't tell the whole story, sadly.

Thanks for the links and info to date.
I've purchased two new JAGUAR XK8 XKR 96-06 REAR SUBFRAME FEET SUPPORT A FRAME BRACKET PLATE MOUNTING
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224467357...sAAOSwSrxgpUDA
The plan is for the coach works (body shop) to cut out the bad parts of the rear sill, pop in new brackets, also redo the rear lower wheel arches on both sides and paint.
Tomorrow I am speaking to the owner of coach works about a quote and I have zero knowledge on how much time a shop would take to do a good job on these points.
I always find well armed with data versus being totally dumb helps get a reasonable quote in the right ball park, so if anyone has any comments on time/costs that would be much appreciated.
I won't hold anyone to anything as obviously you can't see and know the detail of my rust. Thanks again.
PS: I can see pre formed rear half sills on ebay too but the garage said they were over kill, but at least I know they are there. There are also pre formed rear lower quarters too.

Angus,
A bit late now, but it's always worth checking the Heritage site with the part #s:

The prices should be the same at the dealership. Quite a bit cheaper than the 'bay in this case, and the postage may well be, too.

Thanks Mike,
I did do a thorough search but all were out of stock, so had to go with flea bay.
Got my quote from the body shop.
Rear sills cutting out, rear lower wheel arches cut out, os only back wing below boot, os top of front wing & repaint - £1300 maybe £1500 if rear sills throw up than obvious.
Due to workload won't get it back for a month or so, will update if anything else of use to report.
Best
