Default Rear Window brakelight

The brake light on the rear window of my 01 Coupe has come off and I can't for the life of me see how it clips back on.

Any bright ideas?

I'll take a couple of photos of the clips and "mounts" when it cools down a bitt his evening.

Anyone else had this?

There should be two metal clips on the glass that snap into a matching pair on either side of the light assembly. The light assembly has some plastic tabs that snap into the interior colored cover.

So the glass holds the light that holds the cover in place.

The plastic bits of mine broke all to pieces so I ended up putting the light back into the housing with some double sided tape and then snapping it into the clips on the glass.

It's not as tight as original but seems to get the job done.

To install it, all you need to do is slide is down the glass until it pops past the metal clips on the glass. Removal is the reverse, just pull up. Plugging it in is sort of a pain as the wire harness is fairly short.

Thanks, the metal clips on the window appear to be missing. Looks like double sided tape.

The clips might now be on the light itself if it peeled away.

The clips *probably* mount to the glass using the same glue as used for mirror mounts.

Actually, that's probably a good call.

Whatever the answer I guess I need some glue or Double sided tape

Mine broke too; hit a pot hole and rattle, rattle, rattle. Off it came, garbage it went.
