Default Rear window to side window fitment.

I have two 97 XK8s and neither one has a wind/water proof seal between the drivers window and the rear window.

Is this common and/or is there a simple fix?

The seals are attached to the quarter window. A good parts breaking yard would be your best bet for replacement. As an afterthought you might want to open up the trim in the rear and see if they have just fallen off and are in the window well area. Attached is a look at the seal.

The seals are connected properly to the windows. It looks like the rear windows are not aligned properly. Possibly needs to be tilted a bit forward and a bit out at the top.

About 1/16" gap at the widest point.
Both of my '97s have the same gap. That's why i wondered if it is a common problem.

I misunderstood your posting, thought the seal were missing. Yours looks like an alignment of the quarter windows is needed. Follow the link below and go to post #14 and download the adjustment procedure.

So it's the door window that needs adjustment and not the rear window?

when I went to the referenced link, I saw how to adjust the door window. I'll check again to make sure.

I will check and see if I have a procedure for the rear windows.
