Recent Thread regarding GROWLER Badge on Front Cover
Car purchased in early 2015. Looked it over closely and no signs of accidents or paint work. I was able to access the Ford Jaguar Archives and discovered the uni body was begun in Jan. 2003. The B pillar sticker indicates May 2003 as build date. Apparently it sat dormant during the changeover to 2003 model specs and equipment. Noticed later the front cover badge indicated a 4.0L on the Growler Badge. I suspect the badge was installed and sat during the change over or the parts room had extra 4.0L and needed to reduce their supply to 0. The engine and Transmission are definitely a 4.2L and 6HP26. I sourced a 4.2L Badge for a salvage yard in St. Louis . This is the badge I received. The White really looks better than other dominate Green badges in What Jaguar model car did this badge originally reside on?
Purchased from salvage yard unseen. The OEM Green were NLA years ago.
The White is better on my car than the Green. my opinion. Please help ID the origin and the car it may have originally been installed on.
