Ok, installation is actually not bad as long as you really take your time. Steve's been right there to answer any questions and Revsam youtube video great on iPad so you can stop as you do each step. I only reversed one positap connector, not making a connection.
Just having a problem with the top up action. Drops top perfectly. But the up action doing nothing.
I'm really hoping Steve can help sort this out!!

LOL. I am actually working on the 2007 & up version this holiday weekend. It is very close, but there are still a couple of bugs to be worked out to perfect it. I do not sell anything until it is completely reliable.

After 2 years, the number of successful XK8/R installations numbers in the hundreds now.
Steve :Worked great from the get go! I did have to adjust the frt pass window down a little as the right rear qtr window drug about the top 2" of its weatherstripping out of its channel (thanks to the Rev's window adj video).(before I had always made sure that the front window went up last to avoid that pulling out)
The HF trim pliers were on sale for $7.99 +20% off Labor Day special coupon that included a free 7 X 9 tarp!(I had cracked pass side dr card about two years ago by yanking it by hand..wish I had used them then)
All successful installations should come with a diploma for small Positaps!
Now I can focus on restoring the door cards.
I am sure that this device will bring even more interest in the future.

So, do I get a diploma even tho I mixed up one wire!! In my defense, the colors are faded in my harness and only after I cleaned the wires with 409, I saw the difference!! Lol
Steve's wire location number on the clip made it much easier to locate with no question!!

Just had to share this!
Took my car to my detail shop yesterday. Now, he actually works mostly with Porsche, Maserati, those sort of cars. It's located in an airport hanger at out local small airport. It's amazing to go in as its also the garage for a VERY wealthy man in our town (NASCAR $$$).
They just so happened to be having a big party/cook out for Labor Day and the $man was letting his friends drive is cars around the closed landing strip he bought. (Yeah, $$$$)
Anyway, Trevor, detail guy, came out and we walked around the car making notes of some things he needed to take care of and we walked in the hanger and we talked about what he needed to do. I noticed a few of the party guests were starting to check out my car. And as if the jaguar gods decided to smile on me, it started to drizzle!! So, from the hanger, I activated my remote top and those people literally stood there in awe!! Afterward, several guys and gals came up and wanted to know if it was available for Porsche. It felt so good to tell them their pesky hand latch would b a problem!!
Good times!!!
